Balji is a woven traditional bag, using fibres from the Kakan (black palm), and sheaths of Jilnknan (river grass). We also use yibuy (lawyer cane). The Balji is a versatile vessel used in many ways. From carrying babies, collecting mayi (food), and leeching toxins from nuts in running water.
